Pretty much as soon as our wedding’s location and date were set my dearest friend Katie asked if she could throw me a little bridal get-together. That’s just the type of person she is– ride-or-die ’til the end, generous, and ready to make folks feel special at the drop of a (tiny) hat. I obviously agreed to whatever she had in store. She knocked it out of the park with a Bridal Luncheon (other options included brunch–too early, and high tea–not really a thing in central Kentucky lol).
We met up at Azur Restaurant and Patio along with my mom, sister, sister-in-law and a few beautiful friends (including my bestie Chad who chivalrously wore a pink shirt to mark the occasion). Katie made sure there was a chilled bottle of Rosé waiting at the table along with an adorable “Bride” chalkboard sign on my chair. We all donned tiny hats(!), toasted, and had a delicious lunch. I had the buffalo fried chicken cobb salad…yum!
While a random rainstorm rolled through as we arrived at the restaurant (I was terrified our outdoor rehearsal picnic, scheduled for later in the day, would be rained out), the sun popped back out by the end of our feast and we were able to take a few photos on the patio.
Thank you so much, Katie! You made me feel so incredibly special and all the laughter from this luncheon will resonate with me for years to come.
