This weekend, I was clicking around in Hulu (modern day channel surfing?) when I discovered…
34 seasons of Survivor and 29 seasons of The Amazing Race. WHAT?!? Honestly, I don’t know how I’ve gone this long without stumbling upon this treasure trove.
My introduction to reality tv began in the late 90’s with Road Rules…and I’ve loved it ever since. I would say it’s one of my top guilty pleasures…but I honestly don’t feel that guilty about it. What about YOU? Do you watch reality tv?
A few of my recent favorites include:
The Challenge (I’ve seen every season. #NoShame)
Rupaul’s Drag Race
Sister Wives
Keeping Up With the Kardashians (I know, I know)
American Grit
Hell’s Kitchen (really any cooking competition…I’m not picky)
and I used to love:
Real World and Road Rules (of course)
America’s Next Top Model
So You Think You Can Dance
Jersey Shore
The Hills
Naked and Afraid
Teen Mom
and, weirdly enough, one of my favorite things about living in Ireland in the early aughts was the DOPE reality tv. *shrugs* What can I say? I like what I like!
What about you? What reality tv shows do you like? Do you remember the first one you got really into? (Road Rules Northern Trail for me…I was also pretty obsessed with Survivor season 2, lol *ages self*) I’d love to hear your faves! Oh, and if you’re not from America, tell us what reality tv is like in YOUR country…
I’ve liked a few throughout the years, but not too many. The Great British Baking Show is our go-to right now (so sweet, no drama!) and we enjoy anything by Alton Brown as well. I loved watching Project Runway with our old roommate but haven’t watched it in a couple of years.
Reality TV is basically my guilty pleasure haha. Oh wow, I’m currently watching RuPaul’s Drag Race & Love Island.
I hear so much about Love Island from folks abroad but know nothing about it…I’ll have to see if there’s a way to watch it in the states. 😉
I don’t watch tv lately, and by lately I mean the last two years, ha ha. I prefer 1-2 series on Netflix or favorite movies.
I watch Great British Bake Off and Masterchef here in the UK – anything with a food or craft skill. love Bec 🙂
Great British Bake Off is awesome…but always leaves me wanting to head to the bakery to load up on treats, heehee
Yes I know what you mean 😉
Love reality tv – definitely my guilty pleasure (it took the husband an unhealthy amount of time to wean me off KUWTK…) I’m currently binge-watching RuPaul’s drag race and loving it!! Charlie xo
Such a great show!
