mid-week round-up

What’s everyone up to this week? Have you clocked the Oscar Nominations yet? I always set out to watch as many of the films as I can before the awards show…but I’m not always that successful. Wouldn’t it be fun to start an Oscar Noms club where you meet up with a group of friends to watch and discuss (a la book club style)? Hmmm…the wheels are turning! Hope you have a great rest of your week, and here are some links to read and watch…

  1. I would hate to have a really long commute. I drove about half an hour to my last job and it was on a very busy stretch of I-95. I hated it. When we lived in California my boss drove 2 hours each way to work because it was so expensive to buy a house where we were. I was like, dude find a new job closer to home! Who wants to spend 4 hours of their day in their car, frustrated, never seeing your kids?

    1. That’s literally my worst nightmare, lol. I think I could do a moderate commute on public transit (reading and podcast time!!) but car-wise anything more than 20 minutes and I’m like NOPE. So many people we know in Miami drive 1hr+ to work and I basically just think they’re insane. 😉

  2. I am just like you Beth. I always set out to watch so many movies before the awards show. We definitely need some club or something like that? Which movie is your fave by now?
