7 Work-from-Home Looks Made Possible by Le Tote

I’ll be honest. I had the idea for this post over a month ago. I wanted to document some of the outfits I actually where as a work-from-home freelancer, specifically showcasing how I use pieces from my beloved Le Tote subscription to build the looks. I snapped photos of seven of the outfits I wore over a couple weeks. Outfits that I wore in my home office, but also to run errands, work from the library, and out to dinner with Chet.

Things got busy with work, we had some friends come into town, and blogging sort of took a backseat. Then, everything started to escalate with the Coronavirus and I was lucky if I could peel myself away from the news for long enough to actually do anything productive.

While my work-from-home looks have looked a little less put together this past week, I still thought I would go ahead and share this post. Especially as all but non-essential services have gone remote, more folks than ever will be throwing together work-from-home looks. I’m not one of those people that’s going to preach at you about getting dressed in your best first thing every morning when working from home. I usually start working around 7 am every day, but rarely change out of pjs until 10 or 11. You gotta do what works for you and helps you be the most productive. But what I WILL tell you is that you should wear outfits that make YOU feel good.

…And if you’re sick of everything in your closet already, you don’t have to leave your house to get clothes from Le Tote. Just sayin’.

Ok, enough of my blabbering, here are 7 work-from-home looks I put together with Le Tote pieces

1. Flare Hem Sweater, Jeans and a Cuff Bracelet

2. Black Sweater and Floral Trousers

3. Tie Neck Blouse and Jeans

4. Boxy Ribbed Sweater with Charm Necklace and Boots

5. Yellow Cardigan and Printed Pleated Skirt

6. Red Tunic with Gold Locket and Jeans

7. Floral Peplum Button Down under a Cardigan with Skinnies

Which look is your favorite? 3 and 4 probably felt the most like me, but 5 was a lot of fun! Also, shout out to all those snaps where I’m in socks! Not wearing shoes is probably my favorite perk of working from home. 🙂

Thanksgiving Capsule

We’re hitting the road tomorrow for a few days of Thanksgiving festivities! So, I thought it might be fun, in case you’re in the same boat, to share a quick Thanksgiving Capsule! A run-down of everything you’ll need to pack (clothes-wise) if you’re going out of town for Turkey Day. Of course, you know I love a one-bag approach–so I put on my minimalist packer thinking cap and came up with the 3 outfits I thought would be most useful…

Travel Outfit:

casual top
extra layer
comfy pants
casual shoes
leather jacket
sunglasses

Fall Outfit:

long-sleeved shirt
light coat
jeans
beanie
belt
boots

Fab Outfit:

dress
handbag
dressy shoes

These 3 outfits take care of your main Turkey Day vacay occurrences — traveling to and fro your destination, the actual meal, and something for the in between (like helping your Mom with pies the day before or hitting up the Black Friday sales).

But they can also be mixed and matched! Need to get out of the house and grab some drinks with your hometown pals?

  • long-sleeved shirt + jeans + leather jacket + dressy shoes

Heading to church with the fam or grabbing a weekend brunch?

  • dress + boots + extra layer + belt

Putting on a movie marathon while you trim the tree?

  • comfy pants + long-sleeved shirt

Or maybe you’re feeling cooped up so you wanna go on a hike?

  • casual top + coat + jeans + casual shoes + sunglasses

Happy packing and HAPPY TRAVELS!

Are you going out of town for Thanksgiving? Or will you be hosting? Leave me a comment below and let me know your plans!! xoxo

P.S. In case you’re flying – 7 Things That Totally Changed My Air Travel Game

My Latest Le Tote (+ Outfits)

I’ve had a subscription to the clothing rental service – Le Tote – for over a year now(!) and I realized I’ve never done a dedicated post about it. What the what!?

You can bet your bottom dollar that if I commit to anything for over a year it has the Beth Berger stamp of approval. But, in case you’re curious, let me tell you why I love it so much…

I. hate. making. decisions! Ok…so that probably wasn’t the reason you were expecting. I also love clothes, love having new things to wear, and…truth be told…HATE shopping. Le Tote curates a bunch of cool clothing items and accessories for me to add to my virtual closet. Then they select a few of these picks and ship me a box of goodies. I wear them once or twice, return and repeat! So I get new outfits on the regs without any of the work. Score!

[MORE DETAILS and FAQ’s HERE]

Where does my hatred of decisions come in? Well, not only do I not have to shop and decide what to buy…but I also don’t have to make as many outfit decisions. I just pair my Le Tote pieces with my preexisting, streamlined wardrobe and I’m out the door!

Here’s my most recent tote + a few of the outfits I put together this week to show ya what I’m talkin’ about…

Le Tote Haul —

Embroidered Blouse from Octavia

Tie Knot Tee from Summer & Sage

Stitch Detail Pants from Hayes

Fabric Ball Necklace from Ava

Turquoise Short Pendant from The Sak

With this haul, I was able to put together a couple more casual outfits as well as a few biz-cas options. Now I can send back the pieces (no laundry necessary!) and wait for my next goodies to come in the mail. (Did I mention I also love mail? Add that to the PRO column, lol.)

Oh, and if you fall in love with a piece you can purchase it at a pretty deep discount for the quality of item you’re receiving! (Remember: these items have been worn by other ladies out there. So the discount isn’t due to quality, it’s because they’re used. Which I’m kinda into, but others might take issue with.) I try to keep a pretty minimal core wardrobe but there have been a few pieces I couldn’t let go of — like a high quality pair of yoga pants, a denim jacket, and that sweet lil red purse pictured above!

Anywho, enough of my rambling! If you have questions about Le Tote, please feel free to drop them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer them/give you my honest opinion.
