mid-week round-up

Hi babes! What’s going on this week? We’re experiencing a rare cold front in Miami so a big pot of chili and a movie marathon are in order. I’ve also been burning my favorite Fall candle, drinking Fall-themed coffee every morning, and I’m planning on making this pumpkin custard. Embracing all things Autumn, even though I’m in tropical Miami, has been a nice antidote to feeling sad about the lack of seasons! Hope you’re enjoying Fall, too, and here are some articles and posts I found interesting this past week…

in the water

How are you this week, my friends? This one started out rough so I hope you are taking sweet and gentle care of yourselves. I hope you are finding ways to laugh and hugging your loved ones tight. Love is love is love is love. I long for a time when senseless tragedies didn’t feel so familiar, but encourage us all to keep fighting for a world where they aren’t. In the wake of what was happening in the world, I was super lucky to have my mom visiting over the last few days. We saw a cool art exhibit, checked out a farmers market, took tons of pictures of tropical plants, and lounged at the beach. What a fun few days! She flew back to Lexington yesterday afternoon but I’ll be headed that way too in just two short weeks. Wedding countdown and all that. Eeps! Alright my dears, have a good week, and check out the links below…

through the trees at sunset

How has your week been faring so far? We’ve been working on getting our Save the Date cards out in the mail and generally enjoying the cooler weather. We took a quick adventure through this Nature Preserve over the weekend and it felt like early fall. A little weird in the midst of February! Florida you’re full of surprises! The other night I watched a screening copy of a documentary about Malala Yousafzai and I’m excited to share my thoughts on it tomorrow. I hope you’ll come back then! May the rest of your week turn out lovely, and here are a few links for your enjoyment…
