Hi y’all! Hope everyone impacted by Winter Storm Jonas enjoyed their snow days. We had a picnic lunch by the ocean on Saturday and I enjoyed snapping pictures to send to my home-bound snow bunnies up north. Heehee! A sun-spotted sea captain warned me that I could still get sun-burned in “this cold weather.” (It was 70 degrees.) Noted, sir. This week I’m enjoying working with the sliding door in my bedroom wide open and re-watching the first season of Downton Abbey in the evenings (I’ve finally convinced Chet to watch it!). Have a lovely rest of your week, and here are a dozen things for you to click on if you so desire…

How was your holiday weekend? We took a little trip up to St. Petersburg (as I mentioned in this post) for a belated Christmas celebration with my mom, sister, brother, and sister-in-law. We had awesome meals at Casita Taqueria and Bella Brava, if you’re in need of recommendations. We also drove over to Tampa to catch my sister in a play. The show was called Speech and Debate so OF COURSE I loved it, haha! #SpeechNerd It was edgy, witty, and laugh out loud funny. My sister in particular was HYSTERICAL! Now it is back to reality, but never fear! The links are here…

According to several news sources, winter has arrived in South Florida! While that translates to temperatures in the 60’s, and high 60’s at that, I’ll take it! Keeping our giant sliding doors open during the day for a cool breeze to blow through the apartment is amazing. How’s your winter faring? However it’s going, I hope you enjoy these links…

Hi friends! Got any big plans as the count down to Christmas begins? Chet and I are leaving for Louisiana tomorrow morning, and I’m feeling like I have a million things to do today in preparation. (Getting actual work done the day before a vacation is so hard, isn’t it?) We’re excited for some cooler weather, chilling with friends and family, a million po-boys, and maybe the chance to explore Avery Island. Here’s hoping you have a wonderful week, and in the mean time here are some links for you to peruse…

How was your weekend, my loves? We had a fantastic out-of-town visitor for ours and, despite a never-ending thunderstorm on Saturday which kept us from the beach, managed to show off Miami’s warm weather with a few, quick outdoor adventures as well as enjoy a tiny umbrella clad cocktail. (We also ate our weight in Cuban food at Sergio’s and bounced off the wall for a solid hour after downing a glass of Cafe Bombon.) With just a few more days until we head out of town for the holidays, I’m planning on wrapping Christmas presents tonight. Hope your week is grand, and here’s a quick play-by-play of my most recent internet activity…

While Miami looks nothing like the picture above (in December or ANY month), after decorating our apartment for Christmas and doing a bit of holiday shopping, I’m feeling in quite the seasonal mood. How’s everyone enjoying their Thanksgiving week? We’ll be dining with one of Chet’s colleague’s family tomorrow, and the rest of the week I’m hoping to avoid the holiday shopping crazed crowds! We’re planning to get out of dodge completely on Black Friday and relax by Biscayne Bay. The weather in South Florida is perfect right now for just chilling outside for hours at a time. I can imagine the breeze by the water is going to be bliss. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of friends, family and food! And here are some links to celebrate this short week…
