Happy December, everyone! While Miami looks nothing like the picture above (in December or ANY month), after decorating our apartment for Christmas and doing a bit of holiday shopping, I’m feeling in quite the seasonal mood. This week, I’m counting down the minutes until Friday evening when my best friend’s plane lands and we can spend a weekend catching up and having a blast. Can’t wait!!! Hope you have a great week, and don’t forget to check out my 2015 Holiday Gift Guide. Alright, link time…

How’s everyone enjoying their Thanksgiving week? We’ll be dining with one of Chet’s colleague’s family tomorrow, and the rest of the week I’m hoping to avoid the holiday shopping crazed crowds! We’re planning to get out of dodge completely on Black Friday and relax by Biscayne Bay. The weather in South Florida is perfect right now for just chilling outside for hours at a time. I can imagine the breeze by the water is going to be bliss. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of friends, family and food! And here are some links to celebrate this short week…

How’s your week faring so far? We got back from a lovely trip to New Orleans on Monday (you can read details HERE), and I’m already missing my sweet friends and the lovely Autumn breeze. It was so much fun! Now it’s back to the grind. I’ve got a hefty work assignment to conquer and I need to eat ALL of the vegetables to balance out the rich foods I indulged in. Haha! Enjoy your week, bundle up if it’s chilly where you are, and have a look at this week’s internet goodies…

Hello! How’s your week going? This morning, Chet and I are departing on a road trip! We’re making stops today in St. Petersburg, to see my sister, and Gainesville. Then on to New Orleans tomorrow! On Saturday we are attending the wedding of our sweet, sweet friends Carrie and Ganer. I can’t wait to spend the next few days celebrating their love with the loveliest people on earth! And hopefully soak up a bit of NOLA, too! Have a good one, and take a look through my list o’ links…

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween! Did you do anything spooky? Dress up in a costume? We ventured down to Homestead and enjoyed an afternoon walking along Biscayne Bay and laying out by the beach. Then we headed home for a chili dinner and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Despite my best door decorating efforts, we didn’t get any Trick-or-Treaters. WOMP-womp. But I think Chet’s students appreciated our candy surplus on Monday! ; ) Now I’ve got a busy few days of work and preparation ahead of me because this time next week I’ll be on my way to New Orleans! How is everyone doing this week? This past weekend Chet and I saw “The Martian”–a total must-see! The forecast called for lots of rain, so we planned accordingly, even though it never seemed to materialize more than a sprinkle. We had hoped for a trip to the beach but a movie theater date and a productive Sunday of errands and cleaning I GUESS is a close second, haha! Fingers crossed for good weather THIS weekend. Meanwhile, we’ll be watching spooky movies and chowing down on the Halloween cupcakes we baked. Hope your days leading up to Saturday’s holiday are festive and (purposefully) frightful, and here are some links for you to enjoy in the mean time…

How’s your week going so far??? The weather here has been so pleasant lately but eerily windy! Perfect conditions for putting up some Halloween decorations around the apartment. On Sunday, it finally felt cool enough to pack up a blanket and a picnic and spend the afternoon at the park across the street from us. The weather wasn’t the only thing on point at the park. The people watching was amazing! All the shelters were occupied with large birthday parties; complete with decorations, music, and bounce houses. Miami-folk take their celebrations seriously! What’s everyone up to this week? My birthday was Monday, and I was so happy to celebrate on Sunday with a trip to the beach, delicious seafood, and a Nutella birthday cake. As an October baby from a land-locked state, I never thought I’d be in the ocean on my birthday! It was crazy exciting! Thank you to all my friends and family for sending their love on my special day and of course to Chet for making my birthday, and every day, a wonderful adventure. It’s gonna be a good year! As always, I hope the rest of your week is full of fun and here are some links for today’s enjoyment…

What are you up to this week? Fall is here!!! Even in South Florida the weather has cooled a bit, the sunshine has that golden glow, and there’s a frequent lovely breeze blowing. This is my last week being in my twenties so I intend to eat autumnal desserts, plan a well-deserved beach trip, and make toasts over Gin & Ginger Ales that end in “R.I.P. 20’s!” Thanks to everyone who made this past year so wonderful. Now, bring on the big 3-0! Happy Wednesday to all of you lovely readers; please enjoy these links…

Happy Wednesday! What have you been doing this week? I just got back last night from a whirl-wind trip to Tampa, by way of train, to see my sister’s musical. She not only rocked the stage as the leading lady but she also wrote the whole thing! I was so proud. And it was great to see her and my mom. We got to enjoy some lovely catch-up time over coffee and brunch. The journey was super fun, too. I find train travel so much more relaxing than airplanes. And way more leg room!
