What are you up to, my loves? This past weekend Chet and I explored Coconut Grove. The temperature felt quite mild due to it’s proximity to the water but the humidity was still as gnarly and tropical as ever! Chet vlogged the whole adventure if you’d like to take a look HERE. Yesterday was a really productive day for me job-wise and I hope that work flow continues the rest of the week. I think this was due in large part to Chet fixing our internet which had been super spotty and annoying for the last week. Finally, we watched the movie Faults last night. Have you seen it? How is everyone doing this week? Not loving all these rainy days we’ve been getting! It’s definitely warm enough for the pool so why can’t the sun just peek out a little bit! Oh well, I guess this is what Fall in Florida is like. Anyways, the threat of rain inspired us to go to the art museum the other day so I can’t complain TOO much. The exhibits were beautiful! Also, did anyone watch the So You Think You Can Dance finale? This was such a good season!!! I think I’ve successfully convinced Chet that we will be replacing it in our weekly line-up with Dancing With the Stars (which just started on Monday). I’ve only caught bits and pieces of this show over the years but I’m ready to dive in. The “stars” this year look nuts! Hey friends! We had the best time this weekend! Thankfully, Hurricane Erika turned into just a bit of rain by the time she reached us on Sunday. Now we’re back to hot and sunny days and floating in the pool whenever we get a free hour. Despite the gloomy weekend weather, we managed to pack in trips to Ikea (followed by several hours of furniture assembly), a little gyro shop, and an arcade. zebraWhat are you up to this week, loves? We saw a Bluegrass band play Monday night at the weekly Southland Jamboree. It was nice to have an excuse to eat dinner outside and we even (accidentally) showed up matching.  It took my mom pointing it out for us to notice! Thanks for all your love on my barrage of social media activity about our recent trip to Savannah. I had such a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. And shout out to the new Mr. and Mrs. Berger!

Hey friends! What’s new? This past weekend we finally made it through a work event that we’ve been planning since last summer. Glad to have it off the calendar, and it went really well! Today, I have to go to the dentist (womp!) but I’m also planning on giving one of those new S’mores frappuccinos a try. After of course (don’t tell my dentist though)! But the biggest news from the past week is definitely that my boyfriend Chet is NOW OFFICIALLY A DOCTOR! He completed his PhD!!! I could not be more proud and happy for him. On Monday I got to tune in to a livestream of the National Forensics Association awards ceremony, and I had a blast doing psycho things like applaud my computer screen and occasionally burst into tears. Congratulations to the 2015 national champions — Western Kentucky University! Also, it was great chatting with past teammates online while we watched. What are you up to this week? I went to Marikka’s on Saturday to watch the Final Four games (UK lost, BOO!), and I was excited to follow updates from the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament on Sunday and Monday. The (online) coverage culminated in a livestream of the award’s ceremony which was so fun to get to watch while group-chatting with a huge contingency of WKU forensics alums. The tournament’s Pacific time zone had me up well past my bedtime but was totally worth it to watch Western Kentucky take home the championship. By a nail-biting FOUR POINTS!
