So I had a link post ready to go up on Wednesday and totally forgot to publish it. I guess that’s what happens when you go on a little mid-week trip to Delray Beach. Whoops! Our friends Carrie and Ganer (who visited us last week in Miami) were on the second leg of their Florida vacay and graciously invited us for some extended fun at the beach. We jumped at the chance, and had so much fun eating tacos, lounging in the sand, and collecting seashells. Carrie is an extremely talented photographer (she’s shooting our wedding!!) and asked if Chet and I would like to do an evening couples shoot by the water. Ummm, YES PLEASE! What are you up to this week? Our wedding invitations are starting to show up in folk’s mailboxes and I’ve been giddily checking our online RSVP’s with WAY too much frequency. We also booked our tickets to Lexington last night. I’m really excited that I’ll be in Kentucky so soon! I opted to fly in earlier then Chet (he has to teach a summer class) so I can take care of all the last minute planning…as well as drink daily Ale-8’s and buy copious amounts of my favorite treats from Good Foods Co-op. Hello friends! What’s new this week? Not much ’round these parts. Just getting back to normal after several weeks where one or both of Chet and I were traveling. It feels good to get some extra work done and to give this blog some love (beyond just posting on Wednesdays, which was all I managed to squeak out last week). We also managed a trip to the beach on Saturday for some seaside nachos and several hours of sunbathing. (My nose and forehead got a lil pink. Resolved: Start upping my SPF game and/or get a really obnoxious beach hat.) And along with my love of pocket letters, I’ve been dipping my toes in planner decorating. I just can’t stop thinking about paper-craftin’, y’all. It is a problem! Ok, I think that’s everything from around these parts, now onto the links…

We were able to spend some time with dear friends, watch amazing and intelligent performances, and attend a super lively awards ceremony where the team was named NATIONAL RUNNER’S UP!!! Huge congratulations to the nicest group of college students I’ve ever met…you blew me away every step of the way. ❤ Dear people not involved in speech & debate, if you ever get the opportunity to attend and observe a national tournament, DO IT! What are you up to this week? I arrived back in Miami on Monday evening after a few days at Western Kentucky University with the Forensics Team. They are preparing for two upcoming national tournaments and I was so excited to be a small part of their preparations. Such a talented, intelligent and  passionate team! Lucky for me, the first national tournament is coming up this weekend in Gainesville, FL. So, Chet and I are headed up this Friday. He’s never been to a national tournament on the college level so I’m excited for his experience. Especially because collegiate speech and debate was (and forever will be) such a big part of my life. Welcome to Wednesday! How has everyone been? Last week Chet was on Spring Break so we were able to sneak away to the beach a couple times. I finished this book with my toes in the sand. Not exactly light, fluffy beach reading but fascinating just the same. Now I’m reading a book about home design, feng shui, and self awareness. It includes a lot of exercises and self-guided meditations to help you design a “home for your heart.” Yesterday, I completed an activity where I sketched out the floor-plan of a dream-house I “visited” while meditating. Apparently I want a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage with a big front porch, screened in breakfast nook, and a table specifically reserved for crafting. Sounds about right. (Does all of that sound crazy? Meh. I’m into it, whatevs.) Anyways, this week I’ve been taking it easy and trying to get as much work done as possible because I’m headed back to Bowling Green on Friday, get back Monday, and then Chet and I are off to Gainesville the following Friday to judge at a national speech tournament! Should be a fun couple of weeks! Now, on to the links…
