How To Remember To Take Your Vitamins (and love it, too!)

How to remember to take your vitamins vitafive

Here’s the deal. I take my health and wellness pretty seriously. But I’ll be honest…I’m also a little lazy and have STRONG feelings about brain space and what it should be used for. So, I’m super stoked to always have a month’s supply of vitamins on hand. Vitamins = I feel better and stay healthy. Vitamins delivered right to my door every month (Say what?!) = I don’t have to drive to the store every time a bottle runs out. And even better? I don’t have to remember a thing! Brain space saver FTW!
How is this possible? My monthly vitamins come from Vitafive, the brilliant and budget-friendly subscription service. A box of vitamins shows up in my mailbox each month and I take my pre-packed, daily dose each morning.
vitafive vitamin packs
So, here’s how this genius system works! For about $1 per day Vitafive will ship you a 4 week supply of gummy vitamin packs. You can either choose from one of their pre-formulated packs or create your own custom pack. Lately, I build my own packs to include a multivitamin, probiotic, and Calcium + D3.
And they’ve recently changed their pricing so that the price of each vitamin goes down as you add more to your custom pack!

Bonus for Finding Delight readers: Vitafive is offering 25% off your first box with the coupon code 25fd (all lowercase). Just enter the code at check out. No commitment necessary. You can cancel any time.

Need a little nudge to place your order? Here are a few more things that give me *heart eye emoji* about vitafive:
  • Stacked up against supplement prices at Whole Foods or GNC, Vitafive’s cost breakdown of $1 a day is affordable.
  • It’s convenient to have all your vitamins pre-packaged together for each day of the week. They’re all in one place and ready to go! Not to mention, you don’t have to keep up with multiple bottles running out at different times. Vitafive will just send you your next month’s supply and you’re ready to go.
  • It’s no secret that I love minimal packing. When I’m packing for a weekend away in my Tom Bihn 19 liter backpack, I can grab a few Vitafive packs, toss them in, and GO!
  • They’re gummies! Sure, I CAN swallow pills but that doesn’t mean I WANT to. Vitafive’s gummy vitamins taste great!
I would recommend Vitafive to ANYONE looking to live a little healthier, searching for consistency when it comes to taking vitamins, or seeking an easy and fun vitamin option!
This post is brought to you by Vitafive, which provides health without hassle. Thanks for supporting the brands that support Finding Delight.

What are you up to this week? We actually started a Whole 30 on Monday. Have you ever done one? Any tips?? We seem to be right on track with the timeline of symptoms for completely cutting out sugar. Days 2-3 are known as The Hangover phase and “many Whole30ers report headaches, fatigue, and general malaise.” Haha, noted. Hope you have a good one, and eat a baked good for me! how to do one dozen things

Y’all!

We’re in the dog days of Summer down here in South Florida. Heat index over 100 and daily afternoon thunderstorms that arrive out of nowhere and leave just as quick. It’s pretty bananas. So, Chet and I are escaping to Delray Beach for a few days. I’m going to sit my butt on the beach (with a couple good books + an iPhone full of podcasts), eat conch fritters, drink rosé, and soak in some #saltlife vibes.

I’ll get back to posting ’round these parts next week. But since you’re already here, why not stick around and check out some posts I pulled from the archives! Here’s how to do ONE DOZEN super rad things…

Hello there! How’s your week so far? Chet and I finished watching season 7 of Shameless, and are happily making preparations for a mini-vacay to Delray Beach. Also, I got my oil changed this week. Hi friends! I’m back from Kentucky! I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since I last posted. Time flies! That means it’s time for another round-up of links…but first, let me catch you up. When we last spoke I was flying to Lexington for a much-needed visit with my Mom. We managed to pack in a lot of fun (and a lot of food!) in my quick trip. Then, she drove me down to Bowling Green. I spent the next 9 days working at the Western Kentucky University – Summer Forensics Institute in the Original Oratory lab. The lab was an absolute blast and we had a wonderful group of students who worked super hard. And in between coaching and editing speeches, I got to hang out with the other folks working at the institute…who just happen to be some of my favorite folks in the whole dang world!!! We spent every evening in fits of laughter. After a couple uneventful flights, I made my return to Miami. (Bienvenidos a Miami!) It was a great trip but I’m happy to be back with Chet and Wink!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!! Did you BBQ? Pop fireworks? Sing patriotic songs while you packed for upcoming travel?! *raises hand for that last one* I’m on my way to Kentucky today! I’ll be hanging out with my Mom for the next couple days and I can’t wait. (I have an embarrassingly long list of food you can only get in Lexington that I want to consume during my short visit.) Hello friends! How’s your week so far? Today is my brother’s birthday! (Happy birthday, Andy!) This time next week I’ll be headed to Kentucky to spend a few days in Lexington and then I’m off to Bowling Green for the W.K.U. Summer Forensics Institute. Gotta start turning my attentions towards packing! In the mean time, do y’all have any fun 4th of July plans? I’d love to hear! And here are some links I’ve gathered just for YOU…

Magical Underwear!?

ex officio underwear magical

Do you have a certain type of underwear you swear by? I used to always buy those cheapy-cheap 6-packs of Hanes and call it a day. (Oftentimes purchasing a new pack when I didn’t feel like schlepping to the laundromat. *doh!*) And lately I’m committed to the laser-cut underpants from Target. But then, on a whim, I decided to treat myself to a pair of Ex Officio and learn what all the fuss is about!

Since I’m sort of obsessed with minimalist packing (mainly as a concept but sometimes also in practice), the Ex Officio brand has been on my radar for a while. Their underwear is a nylon/spandex blend so it’s super comfortable and moisture-wicking. Plus, they’re made with a microbe shield. And for packing purposes, they’re easy to hand-wash and they air dry quickly so you only need to toss a couple pairs in your backpack for ultra-lite travel/trekking.

They’re a little more expensive than my $4 Target faves, but I think it’s totally worth having a few pairs of these magical underpants on hand. They’re my new go-to’s for working out and traveling!

Now I want to try MORE magical Ex Officio items like this lightweight hoodie with insect shield (for future Everglades trips perhaps?) and a sleeveless blouse.

What kind of underwear do you like? Do you have a recommendation for travel/adventure friendly clothing brands? Have you ever tried Ex Officio?

P.S. If it’s a comfy bra you’re after, I recommend THIS ONE.

What’s up, buttercups? I haven’t been feeling too well the last couple of days. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m sick, (I NEVER get sick..so THERE!) but allergies and hormones are kicking my ass. May Unboxed: Beauty Box 5

Beauty Box 5 May 2017

Hi friends! I recently received my fourth box from Beauty Box 5 and would love to share the contents, if you’re game. In case you missed previous posts, Beauty Box 5 is a subscription service that sends 5 new beauty products straight to your doorstep each month.

The boxes are $12/month ($10 if you order quarterly and $9 if you pay for the whole year!) and are guaranteed to include at least $35 of product. The brands are a mix of drugstore tried & trues, innovative indie, and deluxe…and so far the majority of products included are full size. Oh, and did I mention FREE SHIPPING on U.S. subscriptions? Ka-ching!

Here’s everything that was included in the May box! 5 out of 5 of the products were full size (+ a mini bonus item!) for a total retail value of about  fifty buckaroos. Let’s take a look…

24 Hour Liquid Lipstick in RIOJA from Cougar Beauty (Retail: $12.99)

This is the perfect color to dress up a little black dress or a crisp white shirt tucked into jeans. The formula is long lasting and it smells amazing! The perfect addition to any date-night look.

Exfoliating Body Scrubber from Daily Concepts (Retail: $5.00)

This scrubber is a great addition to my once-a-week skin exfoliating routine. It buffs away roughness and cleanses deeply with dual textures. And I love that there’s a label that fades when it’s time to replace.

Jumbo Eye & Lip Pencil in GOLD from Nanacoco (Retail: $5.50)

Not sure I’m brave enough to incorporate a gold top-coat on my lips, but I love using metallics on my eyes (especially in summer)! This gold hue can be used as a shadow or on the waterline as a liner.

Bare Necessities Highlighting Pencil from Jelly Pong Pong (Retail: $17.95)

I’m excited to use this product on the inner and outer corners of my eye to make myself look a little more awake (<- sleepy morning hack FTW!).

Mongongo Lip Conditioner from Jersey Shore Cosmetics (Retail: $10.00)

Chapstick is a beach bag ESSENTIAL. And this one smells like coconuts! Perfect. I love the all natural ingredients in this lip conditioner, but I would love it a bit more with the addition of some SPF.

BONUS: Arnica Salve from De La Cruz

I wasn’t expecting a sixth item at all! Arnica Salve can be used for relief of bruises, minor burns, chapped skin and simple scratches. I wonder how it would do on mosquito bite scars? I’ll give it a go!

For sneak peeks and monthly product info, follow Beauty Box 5 on Instagram.

Overall, I love that Beauty Box 5 includes everyday essentials – like the exfoliating body scrubber and lip conditioner – alongside special occasion makeup. Which product would you be most excited to try out? Do you have a favorite makeup subscription service? I would totally recommend Beauty Box 5 (even if you’re product clueless like me!).
